Young Engineers – San Diego Center Programs
Bricks Challenge Our most popular program introduces primary school children (ages 6-11) to the basic principles of mathematics, science and engineering. By integrating the basic arithmetic learned in school with an intuitive active learning process, children grasp a better understanding of the fundamentals of physics.
Suitable for: 4th–8th grade OR LEGO Challenge graduates
The GaliLEGO program allows Young Engineers to investigate mechanical systems in a team based setting. Participants use team building exercises to discover the logic behind mechanical, mathematical and physical aspects of machinery.
Robotics & Software Engineering
Suitable for: 6th–9th grad
The Robotics and Software Engineering program combines work and play to teach the theoretic of software and mechanics. During this lesson, students design and create robots using engineering software. Participants work in teams to optimize usage of programming mechanisms used to operate their robot.
It has also been proven that elementary school students who join Young Engineers community obtain the mathematical knowledge required to succeed when tackling the more complex scientific curricula taught at middle and high schools.
